Clash Royale Touchdown Challenge Tips 2019
This Mega Touchdown Challenge Tips is very different from Other gamemodes Because there’s no towers there’s no river there’s no bridge Thats Means You have to Pick Atleast 1 Building In This Mode and Spells are not good in Touchdown Mode So
Always pick a building
You can Pick Tesla and Inferno Tower because Tesla is a lot better than before It is good against hog, balloon, baby dragon, and battle ram and Inferno takes down high health units and tanks. Bomb Tower – Also a great building. Can clean up very well
Barbarian Hut is ok because Wizard is a hard counter and Goblin Hut The best spawner building for this mode The spear gobs are fast and newly buffed, making them viable on offense and defense but Tombstone is easy to counter
Good Splash and range cards
Baby Dragon, Wizard and Executioner is good for Great splash for Both Air and Ground and DPS make him a very good choice
Bowler seems useful due to His knock back Ice Wizard Its Slows things down, a solid defense Princess and Dart Goblind Does very Well with their Long Rang
Pick spells Guides
The Log and Zap is Good For Skarmy Dart Goblin and Princess but Arrows is a great spell The large radius allows you to hopefully get a good trade against those princesses and dart goblins.
Fireball is Very bad in this mode but Poison is really great in this mode when coupled with hog, giant, etc.
Rocket is Not as great in this mode because of a small radius and high cost Lightning is Still good after geeting nerf . Great at stunning units, and it can save your balloon or hog with a sliver of health If you use yhis card near touchdown line
Top Win Conditions
Battle ram is fast, targets only buildings Great for offensive pressure. Always use it down the sides, and Lumberjack rage bottle is very useful.
Hog Rider A really powerful card in this mode. Support with lightning, log, or zap and gg. Always choose hog
Giant is great distraction and Witch is a Really great because of her skeleton spawn. Always high on my priority list to counter first
Balloon is okay when played right and has decent health Giant Skeleton Good for taking out support units and Elite Barbarians Fast and painful if you have the elixir advantage. Combo with fire spirits, log, poison, or lightning and it will be tough to defend against.
Lava Hound The pups can pop into the end zone. A powerful card and much better than any other tank and P.E.K.K.A Kills everything, but is very easily distracted. When kiting, remember her smaller vision
Golem One of the best tank pays off most of the time. Make sure to bait inferno before playing this card.
There’s a new 2v2 Touchdown Challenge and the reward for winning the challenge is pretty good too, 52k gold!
I wanted to share some small tips to help you get all that gold. So here they are:
- Pick tanky cards. There are two reasons for this:
First, it takes a lot of effort from your opponents to finish off the tank, except if they have an Inferno Tower, Inferno Dragon or Bomb Tower which is when you need to try send the tank in the opposite lane of those buildings/troop. If they have any other buildings/troops than those 3 then it becomes pretty much easy to destroy them.
Second, when you have a tank, opponents focus all their elixir on it and chances are you could try to sneak in a couple of skellies or low-elixir troops on the on the other side of your tank-push. Obviously, this happens if you get lucky sometimes and your opponents get distracted by your tank-push.
- Pick buildings. Mainly X-Bow, Mortar, IT and Bomb Tower
Obvious reasons. Tanks get countered by them easily. Also, X-Bow and Mortar are really good in this challenge since these 2 buildings pretty much can cover the entire field and pick at those sneaky troops or even snipe far away troops.
- Pick troops that splash. Mainly Bowler, Executioner, Wizard and Witch.
These troops help immensely since they can cover a wide range of attack. Bowler and Executioner are amazing since they both are a bit tanky and cover a lot of ground.
The positioning for both the Bowler and Executioner is best when they are placed a bit away from the median of the field(vertically)
Same goes for the Witch and Wizard but these two should be supported by a tank or mini-tank if possible since they can easily die to troops or spells.
According to the matches I played, I saw little to no use for lightning or rocket. Instead light spells like the Fireball, Zap, Log and Arrows can be more beneficial.
- Never ever clump troops together.
If you want to support your push, don’t clump everything one behind the other. Have some distance, horizontally between troops since this can help you cover more range and avoids your whole push gettin destroyed by a spell.
You don’t want to just focus on your push too. Obviously support it along with your partner the best you can but keep some elixir ready since your opponent could just rush the opposite lane of your push with a couple of skellys or spammy troops that go fast. Never go full zero on elixir after supporting your push.
There are so many times I’ve seen that all my focus or sometimes my opponents focus was just on one lane and suddenly I see a touchdown. It was a skelly, bat, or fire spirit that made it. Make sure you are paying attention to the opposite lane of your push too.
These are just some of the tips off my head. If you could add something in the comments, feel free to do so.
