So here are my Fortnite Mobile Tips For Beginners. Fortnite Mobile Tips For Beginners
1.) Find a location you like and are familiar with for the start of the game
I have read many Fortnite tips and tricks and I feel like no one talks about this concept. Yes, the battle bus moves on different locations on the map but if you can find one or two locations you are familiar with to start at, I guarantee you will have great success in this game.
It makes a world of a difference if you are able to consistently drop in the same location you know very well because not only do you know the layout of the location very well but you also have a good sense of the loot and where it is allowing you to move around quicker and get loot before other people do.
For example I enjoy dropping in at Anarchy or Fatal Fields (whichever one is closer to the bus). I find that this tip alone wins me matches because I can clear either of these fields in less than 3 minutes and have such good knowledge of the layout that I am able to move quickly and get out quickly.
2.) Be familiar with the entire map
Similar to tip one but learning the whole map is crucial when navigating around. If there are people in the distance ahead, knowing where the high ground is or a route to flank them can really help you pick up some kills. Also this helps you learn to hide.
3.) Learn to move while shooting
This tip is basically essential to mobile players because based on my experience and due to the clunky controls of playing on a phone, many players do not move while shooting or move much at all particularly with building. Why is this important?
Well aim is key to killing people but I find that on mobile so many players are like sitting ducks waiting to be killed because they stand there aiming at someone and shooting. This is bad because it allows for snipers to get easy picks and also for anyone coming unsuspected to just kill them with no contest.
Now it is definitely okay to stand still and shoot because that does give the best accuracy but finding a balance between moving and standing still is crucial especially in close quarter combat. It honestly is comical how easy it is to kill some people on mobile simply because you will be running and just see someone in the open standing still either distracted or trying to figure out how to aim.
Now building is a no-brainer tip for all Fortnite players but I put high emphasis on learning to build efficiently on mobile because honestly not many people build and if they do they are terrible at it. Take time to learn how to build and make sure turbo build is turned on. I promise it will make a difference.
The gun play on mobile feels different than it does on console and pc. The aim assist is very good on mobile and gives you the benefit of the doubt so it is important to learn to aim and shoot well. Also from my experience the scoped AR, pistols, and any sniper is excellent on mobile. I never had much success with the scoped AR and pistols when playing on console but on mobile they turn into a whole new beast that can be very effective at close range and distant.
Your loadout will change from game to game but I find that if I make a goal to get a similar loadout each game then I have greater success. My preference is to have an AR, Tactical shotgun, Sniper (preferably bolt action), Scoped AR, and shields.
Now this may seem kinda bogus with two scoped distance weapons but I find sometimes the scoped AR can do stuff the sniper can’t and vise versa. Also sometimes having that option of both AR and a scoped version can be effective.
Also I have found that shields are more important than health because shields are what is going to get worn off first when getting shot at. So the more shield you have the harder it is for people to get to your health.
I prefer minis when it comes to late game because they can be chugged faster than big shields and that is kinda vital in late game when in final shootouts with people because if your shield bursts then you can pop some minis to 50 shield in 5 seconds whereas minis take 4 seconds to get to 50 shield.
Also note that you can carry more minis than you can big shield potions. Also it is important to note that explosive weapons are very helpful in destroying forts and if you have the option to, you can swap out the scoped AR for explosives because they are very effective.
Honestly it depends on preference and what is available. It is also key to sort your inventory into a way that you are familar with and find comfortable. I have found that on mobile it is easy to keep my primary weapons (AR and shotgun) on the far right and my shields and sniper on the far left of my inventory.
My thought process behind this is that when entering and leaving build mode (which is on the right side of the screen), I can quickly swap between my most used weapons (AR and shotgun) quickly without having to reach far with my thumb.
7.) Learn to not accidentally shoot
This is a goofy Fortnite Mobile Tips For Beginners but kinda important when playing the stealth game and looting. I find that often times when trying to open a chest or ammo case when my weapon is drawn, I may accidentally fire my weapon. This is in part because you have to tap the screen to fire but also have to tap the screen to open chests and ammo cases. Often times I find myself pulling out my pickax when doing these actions because that way if I accidentally tap the screen wrong at least it is a more silent pickax hitting something verses my gun firing off letting enemies know of my location as well wasting ammo. This is kinda funny to think of though because often times when this happens to me I find myself laughing out loud at how silly it is and hoping no one heard me. Also when I am playing cross platform with friends, I always hear my friends asking “was that you again firing?”
8.) Play cross platform
This Fortnite Mobile Tips For Beginners is actually very helpful in getting good at mobile because console and pc players have “easier” controls and as of currently much more proficient at playing the game with their less cumbersome controls.
This makes playing cross platform very hard because these console and pc players are very good and have a leg up versus the mobile players but if you can rise to the challenge playing against these players will actually help you learn the mobile controls better and become better at the game as a whole.
It honestly makes a big difference and I enjoy the challenge of cross platform play and have found myself getting better due to this challenge.
