Miner Lava Hound Combo

Hi, Guys GoldenShowerCurtain here and I have always been a fan of the Lava Hound (LH) and I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to use it to its fullest without Elixir Collector. But I messed around with a few combinations and finally got a viable, face-paced, LH deck. Miner Lava Hound Combo

Miner Lava Hound Combo Card Role:

Lava Hound: The big Kahuna. The centrepiece of the deck. Your LH will soak up all the damage and let your MM do some serious damage as well as get great value. LH technically is one of your win-conditions but realistically it is the Lava Pups (LP) that are more important). A perfect push with this deck is LH, MM, Miner, with Miner tanking for the LP and MM. Just about every other card in this deck is defensive.

Miner: The bad boy. Sneaky, sneaky Miner always makes his way to the tower just as those devilish LP pop out. The goal with Miner is to tank for all your other troops (with the exception of LH) and occasionally to take out Elixir Collectors (EC). Now that EC costs 6 to play, Miner is the perfect response to EC because of the insane value Miner gets. It will put you at an advantage long and short term. Miner is especially useful at the final moments of battle. The deck has a ton of direct damage and with the help of Miner, a tower that is low on HP in overtime can be taken out for the win. Miner Lava Hound Combo

The Log: The underdog. The value of The Log (TL) can really add up. Since the update, Skeleton Army has been used a good deal, TL counters Skarmy for a +1 elixir trade. Princess is also a super popular card currently and TL deals with the Princess for a +1 elixir trade. The pushback allows for retargeting which is a HUGE deal. For example, your opponent plays a Royal Giant and just before you could react with your Tombstone, RG targets your tower. Never fear, The Log is here. Not only can you get the RG to retarget to your Tombstone but you also have the potential to deal damage to some of the support units. Don’t underestimate the log. Miner Lava Hound Combo

Fireball: Bye-Bye 3Musks. With the poison nerf, the only viable replacement, IMO, is Fireball. Fireball is in this deck to deal almost exclusively with 3 Musketeers (3M). 3M would be incredibly hard to deal with otherwise. Fireball can also be used to take out Minion Horde which is another problem card for this deck depending on your cycle. Usually, I usually use fireball to deal with support troops behind Giant, LH, etc.

Mega Minion: Your sword and shield. Excellent in both offence and defence. Use in conjunction with Ice Spirit to deal with a variety of cards such as Hog, Mini Pekka, Giant, LH. MM really feels like a 4-cost card because of the high damage and moderate HP. Some like to say it’s an aerial Mini Pekka and that description is pretty accurate. I usually put MM behind LH for my main push. Sometime I will tempo/rush and place them both on the bridge when I know I’m at an Elixir advantage. Miner Lava Hound Combo

Tombstone: Doot-fucking-doot. Tombstone is another card you can use to get an advantage over your opponent. The nearly constant stream of skeletons distracts units, defends against them, as well as supports a push. Use Tombstone to distract Giant, Hogs, RG, Mini Pekka, MM, Prince, etc etc etc. The list really goes on and on. Those little skeletons really do work on a lot of pushes. Can also act as a cycling card because of the low cost. When Tombstone isn’t defending your towers, its working on making sure your opponents tower is punished. The swarm of Larry’s cannot be left alone if there is LH or Miner on the tower.

Zap and Ice Spirits: Your deck probably already runs these card. Save for Inferno Tower/Dragon as well as for small miner pushes when you don’t have your log. There isn’t much else to say about Zap and Ice Spirits that hasn’t already been said. Miner Lava Hound Combo
